Level 1: Meet It

Level 1 Courses: At Level 1, courses seek to help learners 'meet' foundational partnership and capacity strengthening ideas and approaches. At the end of the Level 1 courses, learners should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of these key partnership and capacity strengthening concepts, and be ready to take on more specific and practical tools and methods.  The six Level 1 Courses can be taken, in Arabic, English, French, or Spanish, by clicking on the course link below, and then selecting the desired language in the language drop down menu on the course page.

  • Partnership basics
  • Capacity strengthening basics
  • Assessment basics
  • Relationship basics
  • Communication basics
  • Adult Learning basics

Level 1 Curriculum: CRS staff, partners and other learners have the convenience of taking the current set of Partnership and Capacity Strengthening Level 1 Courses as a Curriculum. This includes all six Level 1 courses, as well as a brief review module and a certificate of completion. CRS staff can register or launch the Curriculum for themselves, or assign the Curriculum to their subordinates.

All CRS staff that work with partners are encouraged to take the entire Level 1 Curriculum. New staff that work with partners are encouraged to take the entire Level 1 Curriculum as part of their orientation, ideally within the first six months of employment.  Other staff may want to start with Partnership, Communication and Relationship Basics.

CRS partners and other learners can take Level 1 Curriculum in English, French, Spanish or Arabic, by clicking on the Curriculum link below.

  • Partnership and Capacity Strengthening Basics: Introduction to CRS’ Approach
  • Éléments fondamentaux en matière de partenariat et de renforcement des capacités : Une introduction à l’approche de CRS
  • Conceptos Básicos en materia de Asociación y de Fortalecimiento de Capacidades: Introducción al enfoque de CRS

Level 2: Learn It

At Level 2, learners demonstrate a sufficient understanding of key partnership and capacity strengthening concepts, approaches and tools, but guidance is needed to consistently apply them effectively in the workplace.

The ICS currently has three level 2 courses designed to help learners consistently apply partnership and capacity strengthening approaches and tools.
