What are the SCA Training Modules?
Catholic Relief Services, Futures Group and the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, Institute of Human Virology (IHV) developed the Site Capacity Assessment tool to serve as a tool for routine program monitoring and supporting the long term sustainability of local health facilities.
SCA Training Module 1 provides an orientation to the SCA tool to project managers and others who are interested to learn about, or to use the SCA tool. Module 1 includes:
- SCA tool capacity assessment
- SCA tool background and architecture
- SCA tool preparation and administration
SCA Training Module 2 includes SCA component specific training presentations which provide in-depth information in order to equip project managers with the skills needed to handle the technical issues related to the SCA tool’s 12 components. Module 2 includes:
- Youth HIV services
- Adult HIV care
- Community-based treatment services
- Finance and compliance
- Advocacy and fundraising
- Health care management
- Laboratory
- Maternal child HIV care
- Nursing
- Pharmacy management
- Quality improvement program
