In partnership with MarCom, the Safeguarding Unit developed a suite of editable templates that Country Programs and Partners can use to communicate 12 essential safeguarding messages to communities. The templates are largely adaptations of the Interaction-funded visual toolkit, which was field-tested with over 110 stakeholders, across 25 countries. Feedback on the messages and images has been sought from over 120 CRS staff from all Country Programs, the Humanitarian Response Department, MEAL, and 250 CRS project participants. The templates are available in all 4 CRS languages.
The visual toolkit includes:
- Editable graphic posters, leaflets, stickers
- Scripts for audio and SMS messages
- Un-editable images for social media (Facebook, WhatsApp)
Project teams can edit the posters, leaflets, stickers and scripts for audio and SMS messages to reflect local languages and local reporting lines. The social media images are un-editable and will therefore only be available in CRS’ four core languages with a QR code that links viewers to EthicsPoint.
