EMPOWER West Africa, is a CRS humanitarian partnership and capacity strengthening approach to increase and advance local leadership of humanitarian responses and foster long-term, holistic institutional capacity strengthening, promote local partners as drivers of change and leaders of emergency responses, and shift the paradigm from CRS being a “gatekeeper” to a “bridge builder” of direct donor funding.

This report provides an overview of the project's key accomplishments during its first year of implementation from January - October 2023.
