Justice and Peacebuilding

CRS builds the capacity of civil society to demand justice and peace from the bottom up while simultaneously seeking positive government responses from the top down. CRS and  its partners broaden constructive state-society interactions, building a growing constituency for just peace. We strive to prevent violence whenever possible and when violence has flared up, CRS and partners respond by mitigating further violence and fear. Finally, CRS and its partners help to transform conflict through dialogue and reconciliation. CRS applies a multifaceted approach to peacebuilding that improves social cohesion, reduces inequities and promotes interreligious action.
