CRS promotes local leadership by empowering local communities, organizations and the institutions that support their development to be effective and impactful leaders.

CRS places emphasis on partnering with and accompanying local organizations and institutions in achieving their ambitions to be effective leaders of their own development, increasing the impact of programs and producing sustainable outcomes.

CRS undertakes capacity strengthening with local partners as a deliberate process that improves the ability of an individual, group, organization, network, or system to enhance or develop new knowledge, skills, attitudes, systems, and structures needed to function effectively, work towards sustainability, and achieve program goals.
