Accompaniment, Mentoring and Coaching

Effective capacity strengthening often involves not just capacity building (usually focused on individuals) or institutional strengthening (focused on systems and structures), but also meaningful follow-up and practical application. Job shadowing,  coaching and mentoring, communities of practice are all methods of accompaniment, that add a meaningful component to capacity strengthening.
